First Love Ministries was established in 1981 when the Lord placed a passion in Stephen and Rosetta to bring the message of the Gospel in song and the spoken word.   

Formerly known as The Schmidts & First Love, Conley-Schmidt has been singing and performing in one way or another for 20 years. Singers and pickers have come and gone but it all began with a love for music and the Giver of Music and that love just grows stronger. As time marches on the group just gets better- the harmonies get sweeter and the pickin' gets tighter.

Based out of northern Indiana, Conley-Schmidt is committed to singing and playing first and foremost for the Lord.
Conley-Schmidt is Bluegrass with a Country flavor, yodeling, a little bit of storytelling, three & four part harmony, with fiddle, guitar, mandolin, banjo & dobro instrumentals.

The group consists of Rosetta Schmidt - Lead and backup vocals, Stephen Schmidt - Lead and backup vocals, Guitar, Fiddle and Dobro, Orie Conley - Lead Vocals, Mandolin & Guitar, Sharon Conley - Acoustic bass, and Nelson Miller - Lead Vocals, Banjo & Guitar.

Their latest album self-titled Sweet Memories, is all over the bluegrass map with some high lonesome sound, a little mountain country, and five songs written by both Stephen & Orie. Take all of that and add some amazing instrumental solos and 3 and 4 part harmony and that's the Conley • Schmidt experience.
